Our school in the heart of Modderfontein's education precinct. The home of next-generation education. A revolutionary approach to learning.
We are inspired by the limitless ingenuity of every child’s imagination, and channel this inspiration into our way of thinking. We embrace big ideas, unconventional approaches and imaginative concepts in order to achieve exceptional results.
We don’t just solve the problems that are in front of us - we proactively seek out ways to improve our contribution to education in South Africa every day. We ask questions, challenge conventions and break barriers in order to turn new ideas into a reality.
We understand that our dreams will only be realised when they are powered by our efforts. While we make the time to imagine and dream, we go one step further by prioritising the work, dedication and steadfastness required to turn our thoughts into actions.
We believe that every child deserves an exceptional educational experience. For this reason, we reject mediocrity and instead aim for excellence in everything we do. Going above and beyond is our standard approach.
The Nest environment is designed to support and encourage children's natural curiosity, orderliness, sense of orientation, and exploration. It is a safe place where children can learn to control their bodies and develop their minds, through interactions with an environment that is carefully tailored to meet their developmental needs.
We offer pre-primary classrooms that are outfitted and staffed in accordance with Montessori philosophies. These classrooms are arranged vertically by age group (3-6 years), as this is when children are naturally entering a social phase of development where they are focusing on developing friendships and working together.
At this point, we begin to introduce the Cambridge model of education to supplement the Montessori 6-9 Years and 9-12 Years philosophy. This particular model of education is highly renowned worldwide for its effectiveness and provides a structured framework for learning that builds upon the understanding of how to learn from Montessori Primary.
The Generation Education model now incorporates the Cambridge Education model, adding an Application of Academics (AoA) component to the classroom. This is a process where learners are given real-world projects and tasks that resemble the work they do in their field. It is a practical application of academics that allows students to see the relevance of their studies in the real world.
This final stage of our school's primary education is focused on understanding through technology, culminating in A levels. This allows learners to experience lectures from around the world, communicate with learners from different countries, and understand the world they are entering.
